Medication Management and Brief Psychotherapy

What you notice between appointments matters. During medication follow-ups, we discuss how treatment is working, review side effects, and consider adjustments when appropriate. We also offer brief psychotherapy alongside medication management. Brief psychotherapy is part of this combined care model and is not offered as a standalone service.

ADHD Evaluations With MOXO Testing

Questions about attention, organization, or impulsivity deserve a careful assessment. Our ADHD evaluations incorporate MOXO computerized performance testing when appropriate, alongside clinical assessment and your history. MOXO results are one part of understanding your difficulties; the test does not determine an ADHD diagnosis on its own.

SPRAVATO® for Treatment-Resistant Depression

SPRAVATO® (esketamine) nasal spray may be an option for eligible adults with treatment-resistant depression after an evaluation. Patients self-administer it under supervision in a REMS-certified healthcare setting and are monitored for at least two hours. Risks include sedation, dissociation, respiratory depression, increased blood pressure, and misuse. Patients must not drive until the next day after restful sleep.

We offer in-person psychiatric appointments in Miramar, Florida, and telehealth for patients in Florida, Colorado, New Jersey, Texas, and Connecticut.

Psychiatric evaluations and medication management are available by telehealth. SPRAVATO® treatment requires in-person visits.

Questions About Psychiatric Care at Mental Ease

What ages does Mental Ease Psychiatry see?

We see children starting at age 6, adolescents, and adults, including older adults. The appropriate services depend on age and individual evaluation. SPRAVATO® treatment is for adults.

What is the difference between an evaluation and medication management?

An evaluation focuses on understanding your symptoms and history, assessing a diagnosis, and planning care. Medication management provides established patients with ongoing review of medication response, side effects, dosage, and refills.

Can I receive psychiatric care by telehealth?

Yes. We offer telehealth in Florida, Colorado, New Jersey, Texas, and Connecticut. Psychiatric evaluations and medication management can take place remotely. SPRAVATO® requires in-person care.

Can I receive brief psychotherapy without medication management?

Our brief psychotherapy service is paired with medication management. We do not offer it separately.
